Week one

The ugly beginning — and why you can't skip it

Let's not romanticise this. Lemon on an empty stomach first thing in the morning is not a delight — it is a full sensory assault. Week one was entirely about rewiring my brain to not recoil. Nothing dramatic happened physically except a few gag reflexes. What happened was more important: I built the habit. I showed up every morning, poured the shot and took it in one go. I didn't miss a day. If you're in week one and wondering if it's worth it — you're asking the wrong question. Just stay. Consistency is the key. The real win here isn't physical. It's that you chose consistency before you saw a single result.

Week two

Skin woke up — and ovulation got louder

This week landed during my ovulation phase, so I want to be honest: nature gave my skin a baseline glow anyway. But what I noticed was an unusual sheeniness — not the greasy kind, the kind that comes from skin that is genuinely hydrated from the inside. The olive oil was doing its job as a lipid replenisher not sitting on top of the skin, but building it from within. - ab ye kya hai matt poocho please google… lol just kidding. A lipid replenishment means a skincare product or ingredient designed to restore the skin’s natural fats specifically ceramides, cholesterol, and fatty acids that have been lost due to aging, environmental damage, or harsh cleansing. It wasn't a dramatic change. It was a whisper of what was coming. Period Cycle-awareness matters. Tracking your phases alongside this shot gives you cleaner data on what's actually changing.

Week three

My gut did something it has never done in 38 years

I have IBS. Constipation is not a symptom for me — it is a personality. And then, almost without fanfare, I developed a regular time to go to the bathroom. While this topic is a big hush hush but your bowel movements decide how epic your skin is and trust me i always knew it but never really worked on it until i saw this shot absolutely change my gut flora fauna and gave me epic poop but mostly structured a time around it. A specific window. Every single day. I cannot overstate how seismic this was. In 38 years of living in this body, no doctor, no probiotic, no elimination diet gave me this. A morning shot did. The lemon stimulates digestive enzymes. The olive oil acts as a natural lubricant and triggers bile production. Together, they don't just help digestion — they retrain it. However I do not recommend people with IBS to go by my words, this is my personal experience and it is so so fucking positive that i want to share. If you have IBS or chronic constipation, this is the week you will become a believer. Hold on until week three.

Week four

The science caught up with what my body already knew

I went looking for answers about why my gut was suddenly cooperating with my life and hoping one day my husband and child would too just like my gut hehehhe. What I found confirmed what I was already living: olive oil's oleic acid triggers the release of bile acids and stimulates the colon. Lemon's citric acid increases gastric acid secretion - now all of this i have studied after experiencing positive changes. Together, this is a natural digestive reset taken first thing on an empty stomach — before anything else interferes. I didn't need the research to convince me. My body already had. But it was satisfying to understand the mechanism behind the miracle. So it is all the more important to start digging through research papers and not just depend on influencers on instagram! This isn't magic. It's biochemistry. Which is, in my opinion, far more interesting than magic.

Week five

My intolerances didn't disappear — but they stopped winning

I am severely lactose intolerant. The kind where "a small amount" can send me to an emergency room — and my close circle can confirm this has happened. In week five, something shifted. Not a cure. Not immunity. But a containment. When I was accidentally exposed to lactose, the reaction came but was blunted. Significant, but manageable. I didn't go to the hospital. I didn't spend hours in pain. My theory — and this is a personal hypothesis — is that a healthier, more lubricated gut lining simply has more resilience. A degraded gut reacts violently. A nourished one absorbs the blow better. If this is what the shot can do to my gut i highly recommend this to blunt out your toxic exes, current situationships and just bad vibes people LOL. Please don't use this as permission to ignore your intolerances. Use it as evidence that gut lining health is not passive — it responds to what you feed it.

Week six

The compliments started — and I knew they were real because i was fucking GLOWING

I have always taken care of my skin. Genetics, Be. Sexy Collagen supplementation, sleep discipline, weight training, walk and running, a ritual I don't compromise on. So when people who know my skin well started saying something looked different — not just good, but different — I paid attention. What the shot added was something no topical could replicate: lipid replenishment from inside. My skin wasn't just moisturised. It had a density, a bounce, a lit quality. A note for combination and oily skin types: your experience may differ. But the reports from people with active acne finding improvement are real — just not my story to tell. The best skincare ingredient I've found this year isn't in a bottle on my shelf. It's in my kitchen that i was casually using as salad dressing.

Week seven

The week I stopped craving sugar — BHAI this is next level!

This is the week I want every woman reading this to hear. I have had a period-linked sugar addiction since I was 15 years old. For 23 years, the arrival of my cycle meant ordering chocolate and ice cream in quantities that embarrassed me. I have eaten ten gulab jamuns in one sitting and god is my witness. It was biological, not willpower. And then — nothing. My period arrived. I noticed three days into that I hadn't thought about sugar once. Not a craving suppressed. Not a craving resisted. Just... absent. I believe the mechanism is blood sugar stabilisation: olive oil slows glucose absorption, lemon supports insulin sensitivity. The result is less spiking, less crashing, less reaching for sugar to compensate. This, for me, is the single most life-changing outcome of this entire experiment. I WOULD LIKE ALL OF YOU TO 100%%%%%%% go for this shot for this one thing - SUGAR CRAVING KILLER MACHINE

If sugar is your struggle — especially cyclically — this is where I would tell you to start tracking from day one.

Week eight — the reveal

My face came back. The cortisol face was gone.

I compared a photo from the day before I started to one from week eight. The difference was not subtle. It was not a good angle or good lighting. My face had structurally changed — the chronic puffiness that I had normalised and called my "moon face" had drained away. My cheekbones were back. My jawline was back. Features I had stopped expecting to see were sharp again. This is what cortisol retention does to a face — it swells it, softens it, hides it. And this is what consistent anti-inflammatory support does over eight weeks: it peels that layer back. Not surgery. Not filler. A shot of olive oil and lemon every morning.

Week eight isn't the end. It's just when I realised this wasn't a trend I was trying. It was a ritual I was keeping and REPEATING.

HOW TO DO IT

01

1 tablespoon of good quality extra virgin olive oil

02

Juice of half a fresh lemon

03

First thing in the morning on an empty stomach

04

Every single day — results are cumulative, not instant

05

Week 3 = first shift. Week 7 = when I became a believer.

A NOTE BEFORE YOU START

This is a personal account, not medical advice. Please consult your healthcare provider before making any changes to your wellness routine.

What worked for me may vary for you. But 8 weeks of lived, documented, witnessed experience? I stand by every word of it. Not a trend. A ritual.
